I know this has been an issue for a lot of you guys at our new location. I do hope you've noticed our quick response when we placed all the dividers to cover you guys from the public in the mall.
We are trying to find the easiest, most efficient, permanent, and within our budget solution to make this better. If you have any contacts that would help with this please let me know and we will greatly appreciate it.
I must also point out that we are working on some rules that will be posted all over the studio, mainly in the dressing room and waiting area so that you can all be aware of them. If there are any rules that you think MUST BE THERE please let me know by commenting on here, an email, or leaving a written comment at the studio in our comments box.
Finally I would like to thank all of you for being understanding and helping us make our Studio better. Keep the suggestions coming! I always take them into consideration :)
Sincerely,
DianaE.
Hey! I think it is very considerate of your patrons that the studio has dividers so that those that are exercising will feel comfortable. But I also think it is good advertising to have the public be able to see what the classes are like. :-) The dividers are probably the best solution as they protect modesty but still allow a little "glimpse" of your product. Those that are really uncomfortable with people looking in can always stand in the back or towards the far wall. Just a thought!
ReplyDeletein addition to the dividers, how about putting your clothing items for sale on the windows instead of on the side white wall?
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful idea! I will consult it with the staff ;) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteRules that MUST BE THERE in my opinion (in no specific order):
ReplyDelete- Respect others and others' personal space. Do not make negative or offensive comments towards somebody's race, culture, religion or sexual orientation either explicitly or implicitly.
- Wait until the instructor or manager calls for the numbers to get in to the dance floor.
- If you get in late, do not step in somebody else place or do not block other students view who got to the studio earlier.
- Keep bathrooms clean
- Young Children, if they are not in class, should wait for their parents at the living room area of the studio or at the carpet area on the back of the dance floor.
- Saving spots for students who come in late is forbidden.
- If you see somebody misbehaving and not following this rules, feel free to let the manager or the person at the front desk know immediately or after class.
These are the ones I can think of, also there should also be punishments for those who do not comply with the rules. Just call the security mall to kick them out LOL
LOL I do not think I can be so strict as to call security, but I definitely think that based on the offense that they have made they could be asked to not come back again. I like all these rules and I will try to have them all on display when I'm done with them. Thank you and keep the suggestions coming! :)
ReplyDeleteCan you post the songs used for the Brazilian Flavor class?
ReplyDeleteVery good idea! I will talk to Marcelo to have as many as I can posted ASAP. They will be in the same little player at the bottom of the Blog, just in case ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, please post the names of the brazilian songs!
ReplyDeleteI do have a comment regarding the stages: I love it, its a great idea because as people had said before it provides everyone with a good view of the instructor and prevents crowds in the front. However, I have been to several classes where the only person on the stage is the instructor. then the other stage loses its purpose. And, one time, I think it was a Saturday morning in a class with Gabriela, there was an assistant but she was dancing in the same stage with Gabriela, so the folks on the left side of the studio were on our own while the ones on the other side got to see two instructors.
I love this new studio, keep up the energy!
That is a very good point! Thank you! I will definitely make sure that the instructors are positioned according to the crowd :) And I'm working on getting the Brazilian songs so they'll be coming soon! :)
