New Issues

Hello loyal and new students!

It has obviously been too long since our last post, the new studio has kept all of us very busy and got us slacking on the blog but now I'M BACK! ;]

First issue that I'd like to address is the mic.  It is our newest addition, technologically, and I just wanted to know how you like it?  So far, only Diego has used it during his classes, Jazmin may be once or twice but those of you that did have the instructor teach with it, what are your thoughts?

Second issue are the stages.  How do you guys feel about them?  We feel that in the classes that tend to get crowded, the stages make it easier for those in the back to follow and see better.  But let us know your thoughts, thumbs up? Thumbs down?

Let us know how you feel about these two issues, anything else you might have in mind so that I can use for the next post :]

Thank you all for choosing us to make your life less stressful and with a little more fun ;]  We do hope you like the studio and do know that we are still working on making it better for all of you.

Sincerely Yours,

DianaE.

  1. Love the new studio! Great job guys!
Not so sure about the stages though, it feels less personal and we don't get the energy from the instructors the way we did before when they were on the floor with us- in addition it is hard to see our feet/legs...it is easier to see during crowded class though...

  3. Love the mics... and I love the stages. What folks may not know is that when the instructors are talking (cuing) loudly and dancing at the same time it zaps them of much needed energy. Also, to cue verbally and loudly is very bad for the voice box. the mic saves them that energy for better serving the students.
The stages being positioned where they are makes it very easy for the students in the back of the room to see the instructor... I give both a thumbs up!!

  4. Mics... they make it so much easier for the students to hear the instructor, AND the instructor does not have to yell as loudly when cuing. This saves the instructor a lot of energy and saves there vocal chords, also.
Stages... yes, now, the folks in the back of the room can see everything! Also, the instructor is able to see clearly what is going on in class and can see ALL the students. Love the stages!
    Thumbs up to both! Finally!!!!

  5. AWESOME REPLIES! Thank you guys! I'm definitely glad to hear that all of you love the mic and that the majority of you love the stages. I do see how it makes it less intimate but we did have to compromise a little so that the people in the back could follow better, specially since we've been getting a lot of new people joining us. Keep the comments coming guys! :]

  6. Thank you guys so much for the stage. I love it; I think it eliminates the need for ppl to crowd in the front. Sometimes the stage looks empty though - maybe the instructors could pick out out some of the hard working students and put them on the stage to encourage energy & participation :). I'm really happy about the mic - very professional, and easy to hear them.

  8. I love the mics but I understand that all instructors may not be comfortable using them. But for those who do...they do help. I also like when use them to call the numbers and especially when you make announcements. Also, the stages are awesome...especially for those of us in the back of the classroom - now we can see everthing! And awesome job on the new studio!!! I was there last week when you had 90 people and it didn't feel too crowded. It was incredible and the energy in the room was awesome!!! Congratulations to you all!!!

  9. I have mixed feelings about the stage. I like it but I also miss dancing right next to the teacher. Love it when Marcelo jumps and joins us on the floor!

  10. I like both the mic and stages. Diego makes good use of it and would love to hear Jazmin's voice over it too. I like the stage as well, however, here is some advice regarding the stage :)
Place frosted glass or plexiglass plates in the front of the stage, the side the students see with the Sensazao logo. Place four Ionian pillars and place a semi-opaque plexi-glass plate above with track-lighting so it glows BLUE. Then turn out the lights -- just kidding.
    See ya soon. Peace

  11. Terence, that sounds AWESOME! But I would have no idea where to begin lol Thank you guys for the input, glad to know you recognize the hard work we've put into the studio and still are.
I'm also happy to hear that the mic and stages, for the most part, have the impact we expected :]

  12. Love the new extra space & the stages for better viewing by ALL students. Agree class is a little less intimate now & students don't get one-on-one as much they did before when teachers could walk through class, but I guess no one solution is perfect! Mics help as well!

  13. About the stage: I agree with most of the comments above, it is great for the people on the back, but it feels less personal for the ones in front... Perhaps the instructors can use the side mirrors to teach the class there only if the class has 25 students or fewer?
