No Air No Air!

Yes I am singing the song No Air by.... whatever her name is :P

BUT it is also the subject of our, and your, concern here at the Studio.  Here is the comment that you might have seen in the last post, but I definitely wanted to talk about it in a separate post.

What can be done about the air-flow in the studio during classes?  The fan in the back corner, even when turned on high, does nothing to cool the area.  While I come to sweat I found the heat today in Diego's class actually sapped my energy.  Can fans be added in the studio?
Yes.  Fans will be added to the studio because it does get extremely hot.  We will not buy the big fans and put them on the floor (like in Ballys or Fitness First) because this can cause those close to the fan to get cramps in their muscles.
The fans will be placed on strategic places so that it takes all the hot and stuffy air OUT of the studio.  By this I mean that the fans will be placed on top of that front wall facing the main entrance so that all the hot air can be sucked in (by the fans) and then blown away form you guys.  If this does not make sense to you, do not worry!  I will explain it to you when we get the fans ;]

What do you guys think? Agreed? Don't like my idea? Don't be shy, just be nice lol.

  1. sounds great! I imagine it'll be a little different too when the mall has their AC on blast in the Summer.

  2. I think that sounds like an awesome idea. Personally, I don't like fans blowing directly on me when I work out, but it would be nice to suck some of the hot air out of the room!

On a separate note...you all are doing a great job with this blog. You have an awesome way of responding to, at times, some difficult questions. Keep up the good work!

  4. For me, the hotter the better! That's when you muscles are at there "safest." So long as the floor is not slippery I like it hot, its in my blood! :)Plus, nothing feels hot compared to Bikram!

  5. I like the idea, let's get ready when the real heat comes in the summer: the first summer of the Sensazao Dance Fitness Studio! :)

  6. So true! When they turn on their A/C you guys will ask us for heating! LOL just kidding!

Thank you for noticing the effort we have been putting on our customer service and on "listening" to what you guys have to say.

Only those that have gone to Bikram can truly know what "hot" is! BUT we must keep in mind that not all of us have the resistence to certain temperatures. Personally, I can't breathe and dance when it's too hot so fans are in order indeed.

Love the participation! Thank you guys and keep reading and sharing! :]

  7. What about a dehumidifier? Or ceiling fans? And it does get a little musty in there after a class. Overall, great idea

  8. IT IS TOO HOT WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE FAINTING. THAT'S NOT NORMAL. I HAD TO ATTEND ZUMBA SOMEWHERE ELSE BECAUSE I COULD NOT DO MY BEST IN SENSAZAO STUDIO TOO DAMN HOT!!!!
PLEASE TAKE CARE OF IT SO I CAN RETURN .

  9. Ok, you are RUDE FOR USING ALL CAPITALS. But I will let that slide. You used the word "damn" which is really not the appropriate way to ask for something. We have fans and that is the best that we can do. The mall has control of the central heating and, believe me, we have called endless times to ask them to fix it but they can only control it so much. Again, you are rude and that seriously hurts my feelings as we only try to serve all of you the best we can.
    Have a nice day.
